Paper Texture Company was founded in 2025 by me, Nicolai!

I am also the creator of GrutBrushes, brushes and other tools for digital artists that are used daily by over a quarter of a million artists, hobbyists and professionals.

I was a freelance animator and motion graphics artist for a few decades until I quit to make and sell digital tools full time.

I live in Chinatown in Toronto, Canada with my wife and three cats that we found in our back yard.

Everything on the Paper Texture Company website and GrutBrushes is lovingly created by me, and contains no AI.
